Running one of the most successful blogs on the internet certainly has it's perks. I just returned home from Skywalker Ranch located in Nicasio, California where George Lucas just gave me a sneak peak at 2012's 3D re-imagining of Star Wars Episode One: A Phantom Menace.

It was amazing being in the legendary workplace of film maker George Lucas. During my tour he showed me the room where he keeps all his green screens. Pretty exciting stuff!

Just like 1996's Star Wars Special Editions this has some stuff changed in it. The first thing I noticed was the computer graphics have been tweaked and updated to look more modern. It looked fantastic! All the characters were even more alive! The use of 3D is subtle but effective.

There was one weird thing added to the film. At one point it's obvious that Jar Jar gets an erection. During this time I looked over at George who also had an erection and he looked at me. I excused myself and left at this point.
